About the role
Pogo is hiring its first GTM Engineer. You'll sit on the Growth team and work with Growth, Sales, Design and Engineering to build AI-powered systems that compound revenue for Pogo's enterprise AI product, acting as both builder and operator: you write the code that drives pipeline and conversion, then run it.
Early on you'll audit the current GTM stack, find the gaps and redundancies, and start shipping fixes quickly. From there the job is turning the sales and growth teams' best plays into systems the whole company can run on, and deciding when an off-the-shelf tool is enough and when something custom is worth building.
What you'll do
- Ship AI-powered workflows that scale the growth and sales motions
- Build internal tools and agents that replace manual work: lead routing, enrichment, outbound personalization, account research, content distribution and attribution
- Embed with sales and growth and turn their plays into repeatable systems
- Test new product features with engineering and design and dogfood Pogo's AI for GTM use cases
- Publish playbooks and internal guides so wins spread across the team
The listing is upfront about the trade-offs: priorities shift quickly, things sometimes need to be built in a day, there's no structured management yet, and the team expects more than a 9-to-5 at this stage. As the first person in the function, you'll shape what GTM engineering looks like at Pogo as it scales.
What they ask for
- Likely 2–5 years of professional software engineering, some of it applied to GTM, growth or revenue systems
- Heavy user of AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor or Codex, with non-trivial things shipped
- Experience building with LLMs and AI agents (RAG, evals, tool use, prompt engineering)
- Hands-on with the modern GTM stack (Clay, HubSpot or Salesforce, Apollo, Cargo, Gong, Outreach or Instantly) and fluent with APIs, webhooks and integrations
- Strong product and design taste for internal tools
- Systems thinker with real commercial instinct
- Clear communicator across technical and non-technical teams
- Has built and maintained production systems used by real users
Nice to have
- Early-stage startup experience or your own products
- Shipped AI agents that moved a real revenue metric
- Background in RevOps, Marketing Ops or Sales Engineering
Benefits
- Unlimited PTO with a minimum 20 days of vacation
- Flexible schedule
- Fully remote (US/Canada)
